Fire Equipment Recognition Courses

Connection Fire & Safety Equipment provides this valuable service to many of its clients on an annual basis.

The courses are designed to provide businesses with an understanding of the use of the fire equipment present at their premises. All courses are conducted at your business premises not only ensuring the course is tailored specifically to you but also avoiding the need to have your staff travel from the workplace in order to attend.

The duration of the recognition course is 1 hour and conducted in groups of 10-20 (Optimal).

The courses include:

• What are the elements of a fire.
• The types of fire that could occur at your premises.
• The types of fire equipment located in your premises.
• A DVD presentation.
• Practical application of the extinguishers in a real fire situation.
• (Weather permitting)
• Identification of the various types of fire equipment at your premises.
• Training Booklet for attendees.
• Quiz for attendees.
• Certificate of Attendance.

Evacuation Course

The Evacuation Course is run in conjunction with an evacuation drill at workplaces premises and contains the following elements:

• Liaise with company fire wardens who will provide a verbal run through of their current evacuation process.
• Company fire wardens to demonstrate and explain the use of their evacuation packs / gear.
• Observation of company evacuation drill.

Debriefing with fire wardens providing feedback, discussion and recommendations.
